The avalanche effect is also used to clean mineral deposits in the pipe going from the submersible pump to the pressure tank.

If your water contains iron or other minerals that settle over time, it is a good idea to use the avalanche effect, especially before sterilizing the well. The avalanche effect will clean the piping, leaving less interference for sterilization. It is also advisable to do this before taking your water samples for analysis. This way, the accumulation of iron and other minerals at the bottom of your pressure tank will not interfere with the analysis data.

Note :
It is always best to run the avalanche effect with 2 or 3 people depending on the chosen procedure.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column_inner][/et_pb_row_inner][et_pb_row_inner use_custom_gutter=”on” gutter_width=”1″ make_equal=”on” _builder_version=”4.9.7″ _module_preset=”default”][et_pb_column_inner saved_specialty_column_type=”3_4″ _builder_version=”4.9.7″ _module_preset=”default”][et_pb_image src=”https://eaupurco.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/pressure-tank3.jpg” title_text=”pressure-tank” _builder_version=”4.9.7″ _module_preset=”default” width=”450px” width_tablet=”” width_phone=”300px” width_last_edited=”on|phone”][/et_pb_image][/et_pb_column_inner][/et_pb_row_inner][et_pb_row_inner _builder_version=”4.9.7″ _module_preset=”default”][et_pb_column_inner saved_specialty_column_type=”3_4″ _builder_version=”4.9.7″ _module_preset=”default”][et_pb_text content_tablet=”If there is no sump pump, follow the procedure below: 1) If you have water treatment systems or filters, switch them to the bypass position. 2) Locate the T-shaped pipe at the bottom of your pressure tank. Then locate the hose faucet on this T pipe. 3) Screw a hose onto this valve and pull the nozzle out of the nearest window. 4) Turn off the water valve above the hot water tank. 5) Turn off the circuit breaker on the well pump. 6) Turn on a cold water faucet and return to the pressure tank. 7) Turn on the hose valve on the pressure tank and let the water flow into the sump pump until the water runs out. 8) Turn off the main water valve of the house. This valve is often located near the T-shaped pipe at the bottom of the pressure tank. This way, you will avoid the risk of water damage if the valve breaks since you will have already emptied all the water in the house. 9) Turn off the hose faucet. 10) Turn on the circuit breaker of the well pump and wait for the pressure tank to fill up to the stop. 11) Turn off the circuit breaker again. 12) Turn on the hose valve until the water runs out. 13) Repeat steps 9, 10, 11 and 12 until no more deposits are present. To see the deposits clearly, put a white container at the end of the hose. 14) Turn off the hose faucet. 15) Turn on the house’s main water valve and the hot water tank valve. 16) Turn on the circuit breaker for the well pump. 17) Turn off the cold water valve you opened in step 5. 18) If you have water treatment systems, switch them to the filtration (active) position. Simplest but messiest procedure for the bath: 1) If you have water treatment systems or filters, switch them to the bypass position. 2) Turn off the water valve above the hot water tank. 3) Unscrew the screen at the end of the bath faucet and turn on the cold water. You can put the bath cap on to better see the deposits. 4) Turn off the well pump’s circuit breaker. 5) Wait until there is no more water flowing in the bath. 6) Turn off the cold water. 7) Turn on the well pump’s circuit breaker and wait for the pressure tank to fill up to the stop. 8) Turn off the circuit breaker again. 9) Turn on the bath’s cold water tap until the water runs out. 10) Repeat steps 6, 7, 8 and 9 until no more deposits are present. 11) Turn on the well pump’s circuit breaker. 12) Turn on the hot water tank valve. 13) If you have water treatment systems, switch them to the filtration (active) position. 14) Turn off the cold water. 15) Wash the bath.” content_phone=”” content_last_edited=”on|tablet” _builder_version=”4.9.7″ _module_preset=”default” text_font_size_tablet=”17px” text_font_size_phone=”” text_font_size_last_edited=”on|tablet” text_line_height_tablet=”” text_line_height_phone=”1.5em” text_line_height_last_edited=”on|phone” header_4_font_size_tablet=”” header_4_font_size_phone=”17px” header_4_font_size_last_edited=”on|phone”]

There are 3 ways to evacuate the water to a discharge or a drain.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column_inner][/et_pb_row_inner][et_pb_row_inner _builder_version=”4.9.7″ _module_preset=”default” custom_padding=”||0px||false|false”][et_pb_column_inner saved_specialty_column_type=”3_4″ _builder_version=”4.9.7″ _module_preset=”default”][et_pb_image src=”https://eaupurco.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/bordure.jpg” title_text=”border” _builder_version=”4.9.7″ _module_preset=”default” transform_scale=”80%|80%” transform_scale_tablet=”” transform_scale_phone=”” transform_scale_last_edited=”on|phone” transform_translate=”-98px|0px” transform_translate_tablet=”-80px|0px” transform_translate_phone=”-30px|0px” transform_translate_last_edited=”on|tablet” transform_translate_linked=”off” transform_rotate_tablet=”” transform_rotate_phone=”” transform_rotate_last_edited=”on|phone” transform_skew_tablet=”” transform_skew_phone=”” transform_skew_last_edited=”on|phone” transform_origin_tablet=”” transform_origin_phone=”” transform_origin_last_edited=”on|phone” transform_styles_last_edited=”on|tablet” module_alignment=”left” custom_margin=”||0px||false|false” custom_padding=”||0px||false|false” transform_styles_tablet=”” transform_styles_phone=””][/et_pb_image][/et_pb_column_inner][/et_pb_row_inner][et_pb_row_inner _builder_version=”4.9.7″ _module_preset=”default”][et_pb_column_inner saved_specialty_column_type=”3_4″ _builder_version=”4.9.7″ _module_preset=”default”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.9.7″ _module_preset=”default” text_font_size_tablet=”17px” text_font_size_phone=”” text_font_size_last_edited=”on|tablet” text_line_height_tablet=”1.5em” text_line_height_phone=”” text_line_height_last_edited=”on|tablet”]

Congratulations, you have just performed an avalanche effect and your pressure tank is now cleaner. Depending on your raw water quality, it is a good idea to perform the avalanche effect at least once every two years, if not more frequently when iron levels are over 3 mg/l. (3.00).

It is wise to perform an avalanche effect if, during the night, a power failure occurs while your water softener is being cleaned (regenerated). In this case, the water pressure drops to zero and when the power comes back on, the pump starts up again and the coloured water observed during the avalanche effect flows into the water treatment system, which can cause coloured water problems and a drop in the performance of the unit. In summary, the avalanche effect is a preventive maintenance that should be performed every two years.

If a home is supplied with mineral-bearing well water that has not been properly treated for several years, these minerals can accumulate in the horizontal pipes of the home. All faucets are equipped with flow restrictors that prevent the proper flow required to prevent the build-up of deposits in the pipes. It is therefore recommended that you do a quick flush of the house pipes periodically. Simply remove the screens at the end of the faucets and, one by one, run water at high flow from each of the faucets to flush the pipes of deposits. Run the water until it comes out clear. Do this for each faucet in the house until all faucets can be run at high flow and the water comes out clear.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column_inner][/et_pb_row_inner][et_pb_row_inner _builder_version=”4.9.7″ _module_preset=”default”][et_pb_column_inner saved_specialty_column_type=”3_4″ _builder_version=”4.9.7″ _module_preset=”default”][et_pb_button button_url=”https://eaupurco.com/useful-tips/?lang=en” button_text=”See other tips” button_alignment=”left” admin_label=”Bouton” _builder_version=”4.9.7″ _module_preset=”default” saved_tabs=”all”][/et_pb_button][/et_pb_column_inner][/et_pb_row_inner][et_pb_row_inner disabled_on=”off|off|on” _builder_version=”4.9.7″ _module_preset=”default”][et_pb_column_inner saved_specialty_column_type=”3_4″ _builder_version=”4.9.7″ _module_preset=”default”][et_pb_divider color=”#367CBB” divider_weight=”4px” _builder_version=”4.9.7″ _module_preset=”default” custom_margin=”||||false|false” custom_padding=”||||false|false”][/et_pb_divider][/et_pb_column_inner][/et_pb_row_inner][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_4″ _builder_version=”3.25″ custom_padding=”|||” custom_padding__hover=”|||”][et_pb_sidebar orientation=”right” _builder_version=”4.9.7″ _module_preset=”default” header_font_size=”20px” body_text_color=”#367CBB” background_enable_color=”off” custom_margin=”||||false|false” custom_margin_tablet=”” custom_margin_phone=”” custom_margin_last_edited=”on|desktop” custom_padding=”100px||100px||true|true” custom_padding_tablet=”0px||0px||true|true” custom_padding_phone=”0px||0px||true|true” custom_padding_last_edited=”on|phone” hover_enabled=”0″ body_text_align_tablet=”” body_text_align_phone=”” body_text_align_last_edited=”on|phone” body_font_size_tablet=”15px” body_font_size_phone=”15px” body_font_size_last_edited=”on|phone” body_line_height_tablet=”1.6em” body_line_height_phone=”1.6em” body_line_height_last_edited=”on|phone” border_width_left=”1px” border_color_left=”#EDF5FA” saved_tabs=”all” area=”et_pb_widget_area_3″ sticky_enabled=”0″][/et_pb_sidebar][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_section]

The avalanche effect is a simple procedure which is mainly used to clean the mineral accumulations that have settled at the bottom of the pressure tank.
